So once you see the sign Opdas Mass burial Cave go down to the tiny footpath. With no less than 50 meters you can see a Green House on your left. And owwwww Yeah Opdas Mass Burial Cave is a private property. But don’t worry all you need to do is to ask permission from the owners and the will gladly let you in. And the best part? No entrance fee. Yes it is free but it is up to you if you can put some in the donation box. But again it is still up to you if you want to donate or just live the box alone.

Well these hundreds of skulls and bones are said to be between 500 and 1000 years old. And is confirmed by Tokyo University who performed the carbon dating process. The locals say that this cave was uncovered by a person named Baban Berong in 1971. During an excavation for a house foundation. Then came the Philippine Tourism Authority in 1991 who renovated the facade of the Opdas Mass burial cave for it to look presentable.

But sad to say these skulls are slowly diminishing due to some tourist who secretly take some bones or skulls as there souvenirs. Sad to say they are not contented on just seeing the skulls so they take some as souvenirs. So please if you go to this place please just take nothing but memories, and no take home souvenirs so others will something to visit.
